Photographer’s Note
As I was walking into a Russian Orthodox church in Vilnius, Lithuania, I noticed this woman standing solemnly at the entrance, hands clasped and looking down - silent yet pleading. I didn't know whether she was praying or begging, but I asked her permission to take a photo and showed it to her afterwards. She replied with the barest hint of a smile.
Some post-processing required to remove the fence grates in the background, plus a touch of USM.
