Photographer’s Note
Meet Vasilij, the painter, presenting his artwork on the streets of Vilniaus...
It was cold out there so that his face looked freezing...

Jest co trzeba, spojrzenie, twarz, tło, ale ja chyba się od Grażyny zaraziłem czarno-białością...
Pozdrawiam.

And you keep this gem more than two years in the hard disk before posting it? Very good compo with a glimpse of the urban context and his work, superb DOF and exposure...

Hi Jerzy,
Excellent portrait, the painter and his work.
Just a little regret. Why did you cut his painting ;o))
Best wishes
Marc

I don't see the cold.
I see a lot of warmth...
More warmth than one can imagine.
And trust me, Jerzy... The thermometer has nothing to do with it

This is good Jerzy - the artist and his work. But why oh why did you chop the corner of the painting off, especially as you had plenty of space left over on the right.
Never mind - the human warmth and interaction makes up for such framing irritations.
You know, I think this would have been a good one to convert to B&W, especially as the colours of the painting are a little alarming (no offense to Vasilij!).
Cheers,
Ben

Hi Jerzy,
Fine portrait of the painter. Could be a younger one who I met in 1995.
Greetings,
F.
