Photographer’s Note
I was confused by these open patches placed in the middle of the exterior of the buildings when I arrived in Vilnius. My Lithuanian friend was quick to explain toe me that these holes in the plaster show the age and "dignity" of the building underneath.
So cutting a hole on the most noticeable wall brings respect to a building that is obviously old and made from a strong brick foundation.

Hi Jeff. Unusual custom but I can see the reasoning behind it. Well captured with strong composition and good detail. I do think all the white on the wall has fooled your cameras meter to underexpose a little, like shooting snow scenes. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Jeff,
Interesting reason why there's a hole open place in the side of building. Good contrast and composition. Well informed note Jeff.
Best regards
Jason.
