Sky Over Lake Galve Photo

Photographer’s Note

Wide angle view of sky over Lake Galve. Trakai Island Castle can be seen in the distance.
Taken at 13:37 facing north. Actual distance to the castle was only 200-250 meters, but because of ultra-wide angle lens it looks far away.
Camera settings: 10 mm zoom, ISO-200, AV mode.
Converted from Raw with color temperature set to 5200K. Slightly increased saturation of green and blue colors.

Hi, Linas. A picture which gives an impression of immensity due to the lens you have used and the large space you've devoted to the sky. And the sky is really worth it, it's really beautiful with the fluffy clouds in it. The lake and the sky seem to merge in the reflections. The castle and its surrounding are there to separate the two elements. The composition is good with the boat nicely placed to the right of the castle. Nice saturated colours for a very good picture.

A fanatsic shot of this nice place,taken from an exxcellent POV and very well composed with this sailingboat at the perfec position.Good gright colors and great depth with these nice clouds.The reflecions are nice,too.

stunning photo, Linas, the combination of the fantastic sky, imposing castle and sailboat creates a powerful image. I like a lot the slight wide angle distortion, I find it nicely emphasises the feeling of depth and distance. excellent work, my compliments.

This is a very nice shot with an amazing sky! The cloud streaks give the shot a sense of direction and motion. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail. Your composition is fine using the reflection to create depth and balance for the scene.

Excellent use of the wide-angle creating so much space and showing off the floating clouds to their best. The castle is stunning with it's red rooves and nicely balanced with the yacht.
