Photographer's Note
I've just discovered that there are only 28 photos of Vaduz on TrekEarth!
So I'll upload some more to add to this collection :)
I wasn't lucky with the weather that day: it rained heavily or simply drizzled - incessantly - all day long... not only in faraway Vaduz but also in most Swiss cities and towns which were within reasonable reach from Luzern.
So I didn't have much choice where to spend the day! LOL
Can you imagine yourself shooting photos with a 1,5kg camera in one hand and an umbrella (which you are trying to balance over your head and camera) in the other hand? ;)
If you can, you will understand how sophisticatedly difficult it was to shoot photos on that day! :)
I can't guess how many of you have been to Vaduz, but I should note that Vaduz is not a "photographer's paradise".
In fact, in some ways it may be even a disappointment for lovers of medieval architecture: I haven't seen any except for the famous Vaduz castle! :)
Anyway, I was very glad that I saw Vaduz. It's a nice experience. Should I come to Liechtenstein again I'll go to another town - to explore more of this tiny country :)
Oh yes.. one more thing!
I did get a piece of luck in the form of bright sunshine on that day!!
guess when?..
when I came to a cafe to have lunch! LOL
The sun came out immediately the moment a waiter took my order... so I couldn't leave just like that:( Besides, I was very hungry!
..and the moment I finished my lunch the sun hid itself again and the rain resumed! :)
What a strange coincidence??

Hello Elena,
a real nice story and note.. most time we photographers need a great portion of lck to get good pictures when visiting different places and cities as normally, but you get a good result here, looks real wet and i hope your camera was getting dry..
have a nice evening, see you around, warmest regards Bernd (waiting for the next rain here in our region tonight..)

Hi my dear Elena
Sorry for my late action.
Your note is always intesting and useful very much.
I just can know concering "Vadus" this time.
This shot is very significant shot by perfect framework and great composition as usual.
I well understand your intetion an strategy (coparison and mix of real cars and car inposter). You are talented to cut the daily usual secne from unusual point and approach. Thanks for your sharaing and have a good day!

Hello Elena!
I was fortunate to visit Liechtenstein back in 2005 (during my tour around Switzerland, which included a bit of France too)! I was only in Vaduz, but unfortunately didn't take good digital picture (at that time, had a simple Sony camera)!
I love rain too!
Your picture is very nice and attractive with excellent chosen pov, colors, exposure, vertical format, white & grey borders, contrasts and composition!
TFS - congrats,
Cheers,
Neyvan

Ho notato anche io che di alcuni luoghi poche foto...
Interessanti questi piccoli stati.
Una chance abitarci ed usufruire dei loro servizi .
Senza palazzi storici ?
Ma un documento и importante .

Hi Elena, As it is not easy to have heave camera in one hand and an umbrella in the other, I use rather light small camera, and never use umbrella, it may rain. But often I have one backpack, one frontpack adn a guidebook in hand. there are many interesting places that have no representation here on TE. I like to post photos from such places. Interesting photo from Vaduz. Even i n rain it has a charm, nice curve of the street, excellent sharpness.
Warm regrads

Hello Elena,
I have been told earlier that Vaduz is not really a very interesting place (unless you need to open a discreet bank accunt). But rain and grey skies have this way of producing clear colours, and if you find some splashes of yellow and red, plus a deep perspective of a narrow street, you are still all right.
Kind regards,
Gert

Доброе время суток, Елена,
мне понравилось про 1.5 кг камеру ))) у вас наверное отсек с доп.аккумуляторами? Интересный живой текст, как всегда. Хорошая зарисовка из еще одного карликового государства.

Boa noite dear Elena
Umbrellas and cameras weren't a good combination, surely.
I liked very much the note and the coincidences. Very stranges without doubt. I like rain, sometimes.
Hugs

Hej Elena,
so nice to see you are back on Te ! Or is it only now and then, as i do ?
"Vaduz is not a "photographer's paradise", i agree with that, especially since it was raining when i was here.(and i had no umbrella as usual:) ) It is like you say, nothing special here. Except the red VW on the poster, well seen and a good capture of a gray day.
Varma hдlsningar.
Boa
