The small principality of Lichtenstein is wedged between Austria and Switzerland. For skiers the principality offers small but beautiful ski resort of Steg. The houses of Steg are huddled in a small narrow Valley surrounded by high mountains.


History

With an area of 160 sq. km/61.8 sq miles, Liechtenstein is the fourth smallest state in Europe. Despite its size, the country can look back on a very eventful history. It is a history of rapid development, from an agrarian country to a highly industrialized state.

1699 Prince Johann Adam Andreas purchases the lands of Schellenberg
1712 Prince Johann Adam Andreas purchases the County of Vaduz

very nice the view of the principality of Lichtenstein.The warm colours make the houses more attractive and the environment more idyllic.The light that floodlight the side of the house brings out the details of it.Very educational the history facts that you mention in the note.

I like the striking warm vs cold colour contrast, between the reddish facades of the fg buildings & the blue shadowed pine foest in the background. Effective tight framing, & good dof. Well done!

The wood facade with the vertical lines gives a excellent image and also the eye catcher of the picture.
Liechtenstein one of the most small countries in the world.
You wrote a nice history of this small country.
