[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Have You seen "Swan Lake" ballet by famous russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky? One of most famous parts of this ballet is dance of small swans, when several ballerinas in white tutu (a short, stiff skirt, worn as a costume in a ballet performance, made with layers of netting that extends outwards from the hips) linking arms staying in stright line slowly move from one corner of stage to another.
The group of ice covered old piles looked like ballerinas in white (ice) tutu performing this dance. By means of 180-degree view (achieved by fish-eye lens) and small postprocessing I tryed to create feeling of thearte's stage.

sveiks, Jurij :)
excellent observation, the ice covered poles do look like wearing tutus :) I like a lot the choise of B&W, it certainly emphasises textures and shapes. smart use of ice in the foreground to create a natural frame, I like this photo a lot.

with best regards,
Kristine
