Isabela gave a challenge - a photo with a song.
It's impossible to say what is my favorite song, I have so many and it is impossible to say what is my favorite wooden house in Riga: there ARE so many :)
This one is on Strelnieku iela, Almost alone between the 5 stories stone buildings. It's not a masterpiece, it's quite anonymous. But it's a house. People come home here for more than a ninety nine and one half years. Sometimes with happiness, sometimes with the blues:

There's a Red House over yonder
That's where my baby stays
There's a Red House over yonder, baby
That's where my baby stays

Well, I ain't been home to see my baby,
in ninety nine and one half days.
'Bout time I see her,
Wait a minute something's wrong here
The key won't unlock the door.

Wait a minute something's wrong baby,
Lord, have mercy, this key won't unlock this door,
something's goin' on here.
I have a bad bad feeling
that my baby don't live here no more.

That's all right, I still got my guitar
Look out now . . .

I might as well go on back down
go back 'cross yonder over the hill
I might as well go back over yonder
way back over yonder 'cross the hill,
(That's where I came from.)

'Cause if my baby don't love me no more,
I know her sister will!

Thanks for your contribution,my friend
I forgot this song, don't understand how, because my father always loved it :)
Thanks again.
How is your little child? You didn't say nothing more about being a father :)Growing up,very fast, isn't it?

A nice documentary shot of some lativan domestic architecture, David. I think it could have had a tighter cro, the garage to the right adds little and distracts from the house itself. But it is an interesting image and a god record. regards kevin

Hej David,
This is exactly the reason why I love Riga. this old wooden architecture that's gone in so many european citys because of war and fire. fantastic winter light and good POV.
