Photographer’s Note
The Orthodox Cathedral of Riga was build between 1876 and 1884. During the anti-religious Soviet era the interior with numerous icons was destroyed and the cathedral was turned into a planetarium. Since independence it has been restored to it's proper use, though locals still often refer to it as the 'planetarjis'.
The interior is very richly decorated, like in all Russian Orthodox Churches. This cathedral is located in Brivibas 23 and surrounded by a beautiful park.
The Cathedral and all of its beautiful details looked beautiful during the sunset in the afternoon, even though it was a very cold winter day when I took this picture.

Hello Anne,
A nicely captured detail shot of this beautiful cathedral with good pov. The positioning of the domes in the frame is very pleasing and the clear blue sky makes for an excellent backdrop. Beautiful lighting and tones and excellent clarity.
