Photographer’s Note
Love is different in Riga... on a number of occasions I saw a boy present a waiting girl with a red rose to mark the start of their date. In England such a thing is practically unheard of, unless the day of the year is St Valentine's Day.
This bridge, which crosses into the old town, is covered with locks. In Latvia when a couple get married they lock the lock to the bridge and throw away the key... a sentimental way of saying that the marriage is there to last!
Happy Easter everybody.

Expressions of love can vary, and you've managed to capture one such variation. It's a simple shot, but very well done it is!

Hi Lewis
What a great shot. I think many would have walked by and not noticed this profound gesture. You framed this composition well and I like how the locks blur in the background. Nice use of a shallow DOF!
