Photographer’s Note
In Latvia the month of May is marked by the bloom of rape. When travelling across the country one can see lots of yellow fields. It is known that biodisel is made from rapeseed oil. Since EU has introduced limitations on the production of sugar in Latvia, the sugar plants will be closed. The only way out is the production of biodiesel, so the plants will be transformed to produce biodiesel.

Great shot, I like the vast distances that this photo reaches, also the yellow is so clear and the shadows from the clouds help!

Yep, I've read about this biodiesel. Here in Holland, the biggest supermarket company (Albert Heijn, I work for them) have also forbidden to sell more than 3 bottles/customer of the ultra cheapest sunflower oil, because people with jeeps etc we're likely to buy them in large quantities. Jeeps drive well on it, and if you see the prices of benzine here, you can image that people save a close to a whole euro per liter of fuel.
I think this biodiesel is a good thing though..they should really advance in making it. Better for Earth's environment.
Anyhow,
About the photo, very colourful photo, fine vivid saturation (in camera adjusted, or post processing?). Good sharpness and a lovely sky with nice clouds above the yellow landscape..did you use a polarizer again?
What I also like, is this interruption of yellow near the horizon. An interesting break in all the yellow.
Regards,
Emiel.
