Garsene village II - wooden manor house Photo

Photographer’s Note

Ancene manor house built in late 19th century. It is some distance away from Garsene village. It is a bit unusual wooden house built in neo-classical style. The wooden columns and portic mimic the richer masonry columns.
Today there live casual people - building is not well maintained but still usable. Two small dogs - a small bonus ;)

VOila le style de lieu que j'aime bien regarder.

Gloire d'un passé perdu, très belle prise de vue Gatis. J'aime regarder ces vieilles maisons qui si les "murs" pouvaient parler auraient beaucoup à nous dire. Les colonnes soutenant une sorte de péristyle à fronton triangulaire aménagé sont très intéressantes.

It is a piece of history well worth sharing with us. I like the style and the age shown by the wood. In those days people knew how to build with good proportions
