| This is the 1905 Memorial in Riga. It commemorates the Russian Revolution of 1905 when disaffected workers staged an anti-government revolt against the Romanovs. Although this revolution failed, the second revolution in 1917 succeeded and resulted in the demise of the Tsars and the rise of the Bolsheviks. |
