The House of Blakheads ( Melngalvju nams in Latvain language) is located in the main square of the old city of Riga. This edifice was erected in the 14th century.

The deserted expanse of cobbles in the foreground helps create a wonderful sense of depth as the eyes go on to take in the beautiful architecture. The image is very well lit and has superb colours and clarity. Excellent rendering of detail.

La prise de vue permet de distinguer les détails et les couleurs de l'architecture des maisons des Blackheads. La distance entre la place et les maisons donne de la profondeur à la composition. La qualité de la lumière rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Very impressive image, a magnifiecent architecture equally well composed with excellent shooting angle using the well textured foreground as effective lead to the imposing buildings. Lot of delicacies, strong lines, shapes and above all the subtle light and colors that mkae this shot really standout so superbly against glorious rich clear sky. The shadows further intensify the depth greatly, such an elegant shot. Splendid shot, Congrats.

Riga è una città di cui ho sempre sentito parlare ma che non ho mai visto. Da questa tua foto sembra bellissima con una architettura che ricorda quella fiamminga con influssi russi.
questa tua foto è letteralmente splendida, con una luce brillante e colori molto accesi. Il contrasto cromatico blue del cielo con il rosso delle facciate è di grande effetto. molto bellla e ottimamente composta.

Linda praça em Riga com estes edifícios fantásticos tem uma arquitetura muito bela, gostei muito contraste do vermelho com o azul , bonitos os detalhes do chão em pedra, bom uso da foto na vertical , parabéns!!

ottimo taglio verticale e luce ben distribuita su questa immagine di architettura.
Bello il contrasto cromatico tra il blu del cielo ed il rosso predominante della muratura.
La pavimentazione in primo piano conferisce una buona profondità all'immagine.

La netteté, la gestion de la lumière, les couleurs obtenues, l'encadrement noir & blanc, les contrastes, la profondeur et surtout le pdv choisi et la compo sont excellents, chouettes!

Fabulous architecture's, Roger, I was sure this was from Belgium...
Good depth as the brick's pavement in Fg creats, and nice colors and outlines.

Your composition is attractive here using the vertical format to emphasize the height of the scene. The brick courtyard provides a nice lead in for the shot. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has fine sharpness.

De magnifiques batiments, bien présentés avec un grand premier plan de pavés qui donne du graphisme et de la texture et amène le regard jusqu au sujet.

Une architecture qui a beaucoup de similitudes avec celle de ton pays je trouve... Une belle et lumineuse prise de vue où l'avant plan pavé donne beaucoup de profondeur à l'image. Les couleurs sont très agréables. Joli et intéressante coup d'oeil, merci Roger.
