Old town Bauska. Very small - damaged by time and events. Skew wooden buildings. Not very interesting in the night without any common people on the street. But one thing is a charming feature for this place - opened small wooden windowpanes... (Kodak B&W ISO 400; f=8, ~8 sec)

Hi Ilze

Black & White night shots always have some kind of mysty or nostalgic feel, and this picture definitely has this feeling. Some people may not like the light halo around the lamps, but I always think it gives a cool effect.

Thanks for sharing ;o)

Hi Ilze,
A strong sense of desolation in this photo; you can feel the stillness of the night. Nice B&W shot.
Chris

Salut Ilze
Une très belle composition, le choix noir blanc est parfait, l'angle de vue aussi. Il ne manque qu'une silhouette pour la perfection

Hi Ilze, a photo in very interesting B/W by the frame and the light, the solitude of the street also calls the attention... seems the scenery of a film of Alfred Hiscot.

Congratulations by your work.

A greeting from Spain.

Hi Ilze, una foto en B/W muy interesante por el encuadre y la luz, la soledad de la calle también llama la atención... parece el decorado de un film de Alfred Hiscot.

Felicidades por tu trabajo.

Un saludo desde España.

Hi Ilze
You have a small gallery but very nice and i'm looking forward to see more. I mainly like this picture with a beautiful light and composition, a little bit mystic also and your black and white is very nice, bravo à toi
Eric

Ilze,

Beautiful graphical representation of Bauska, the B&W adding to the atmosphere, both of your note and the nighttime.

Dvaid

Koennen Wir auch deutsch sprechen ?
Ist das etwas komisch, dass Polen muss mit Lettlande in deutsch sprechen, aber vielleich besser als in russisch ;-)

Zum Photo - oczeń krasiwe ;-)

Excellent B&W work here. I love the how all the light in this photograph is coming from those two light posts, and you have placed them perfectly against the black night sky. Oh wait, it looks like there is also light in the room at the top left hand corner of the photograph. Very intriguing. This deserted old road looks almost scary at this time of night. Great capture.
Regards,
Ryan

Hello Ilze,
lovely perspective and great B/W atmosphere I'd like to see another one during the day in colour though

Many Regards
Stelios
