Photographer’s Note
As my previous post explained this photo is taken on the walking path between the towns of Riomaggiore and Manarola which are 2 or the 5 towns that make up what is called the Cinque Terre.
The small windows in the side of the mountain is a part of the local train line which runs from La Spezia to Genoa and connects the five villages. It runs in what is mainly a tunnel for the full distance between Riomaggiore and Monterosso, emerging from the rocks infrequently for quick glimpses of the Mediterranean sea through these small windows.

Hi Jude,
Nice perspective.
The blue waters look amazing.
I am starting to wonder if this is the place where opening scene of QOS takes place?!!
IMO i think it would've been even better if you could've included a bit more of the sea.
Cheers,Neelima.

Hi Jude,
Ah, the beautiful Cinque Terra, I've been lucky enough to have visited this wonderful place six times. I love the colour of the water, that deep Medertranian blue is so beautiful. Good POV, using the pathway works well to lead into the shot. Too bad the weather wasn't kind. but any day spent in this wonderland is priceless.
Lovely capture.
Regards
Peter
