Photographer’s Note

One very typical shot from Slovenian mountains above Kobarid. There was border between Slovenia and Italy and because of that nature is still pure and unspoiled.
The highist peek is Krn an on this side I was, it is mont Matajur. One beautiful day in the middle of November.

You show us a really lovely sight here - a November's day out of the fairy tale. This landscape truly is great. The red roofs of the houses add a lot to the scenery. I like the natural colours in your picture very much. What a day! Unfortunately I haven't smilies any longer ...

Hi Marjan,
Looks like winter is finally arriving! before you know it, the snow line will get lower and lower. Looks like it must be quite a view from here. The colours and clarity are good, but for a slightly better composition, I probably would have cropped off the top 1/4 of the sky and this would have helped focus our attention more on the foreground details, but that's just my opinion!

Hi Marjan,

It's a very scenic place and the photograph it's a very good presentation of it, specially for the colours well rendered and the clarity/sharpness.

Not that I find the compo badly done, but sincerely, I would expect that you did better, considering the talent you show in your gallery. It's not easy to me to explain or make any suggestions, but I think it lacks a focal point and maybe it's a bit unbalanced by the position of the village and the horse, which are two close to the corner. The snowed mountain tops also catch the eye, but they being on the horizontal, they don't balance the village and horse. I like the lines of the landscape, but again, they don't lead the eye anywhere, they are just there.

Maybe it sounds that I find it really bad, but that is not what I mean.

Hello Marjan,
an exceptional nice high mountain landscape for November! I like very much how well visible the three different regions (according to the height) are: green, grey/brown and white. The houses with their red roofs are a lovely and important addition to the effect. Well done!

I don't know how I missed this lovely image. Although of course it is a real photo of a place that exists, there is an uncomfortable feeling that the pasture is downhill, that the horse is going to topple and roll down. A wonderful image, however.

I made a quick visit to your gallery because just this morning an image was submitted by a Turkish compatriot, Erkan, showing a view of Bled Lake and Island from the air. In critiquing his photograph, I pointed out your remarkable picture from the level of the water. That photograph of yours is one of the most beautiful images I've seen anywhere. I have been showing it to family, friends and students.
