These nine young people love theatre and after the work they devote theirself to it giving also show in the parks and gardens of Milan. This time the show was inspired by the “Murgas”. During the 40 days of Carnival in Montevideo, Uruguay, groups, called "murgas," of 18 to 20 men perform in open-air stages ("tablados") throughout the barrios of the city. Before the end of Carnival, murgas from different barrios compete in a major theater. Their shows, which combine song, drama, and comedy, satirize the main events of the year and are critical of Uruguayan politics and culture.
Throughout the period of Uruguay's subjection to a brutal dictatorship and in the following era of "democratization," the murgas, envisioned originally as popular theater, were transformed into a symbol of social resistance, celebrated by many and perceived by others as menacing and subversive.
