The Gulf of Naples is located in the south western coast of Italy (province of Naples, Campania region). It opens to the west into the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered on the north by the cities of Naples and Pozzuoli, on the east by Mount Vesuvius, and on the south by the Sorrentine Peninsula and its main town Sorrento; the Peninsula separates it from the Gulf of Salerno.

The islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida are located in the gulf. The area is an important tourist destination for Italy with the Roman ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum (destroyed in the A.D. 79 eruption of Vesuvius) nearby.

Hi Alessandro,
excellent POV to show us how Napoli is situated in this beautiful landscape. A composition full of atmosphere due to the high sky and the beautiful colours. I like the framing by the bushes on the left side.

A beautiful view over the Gulf of Naples. The mediterranean blue is amazing. Great POV, a good composition, pleasant and natural colors and good sharpness. It is amazing to see how sunny it is in Naples in November, at a time, when we have dark, wet and cold in Finland. TFS.

Non avevo mai visto questo scorcio, che mi sembra opposto a quello classico delle cartoline col pino e il vesuvio, e ti dà l'idea di quanto è grande il golfo di Napoli. Bella composizione col mare che sembra un lago.
Ma toglimi una curiosità ma Freddy non è di Livorno? E se è così come mai fa il meeting a Napoli?

Scorcio non visto, foprse dopo Vico Equenze:
Il vesuvio ha un aspetto centrale, ed inusuale per chi lo aveva vistosepre, nelle cartoline come un pandant laterale di Mapoli.

bella immagine, verace, del Golfo di Napoli, con il caratteristico azzurro del mare che lo rende uno dei posti più caratteristici e conosciuti d'Italia. La composizione dell'immagine è piacevole ed ampia, con una eccellente sensazione di profondità. Molto bella.

Ciao Alessandro
comincio con la critica alla foto constatando subito un pov stupendo, una vista sul golfo e sul Vesuvio inusuale per TE. Quindi il ringraziamento è per te per aver postato quest'angolo della Campania, da qui Napoli non si vede (ma si immagina).
In secondo luogo mi scuso per la mia assenza che adesso sta diventando proverbiale e me ne dispiace, ma ne parleremo sicuramente da vicino.
Terzo ma non ultimo se vuoi venire il sabato e pernottare, devo assolutmente mandarti il mio num di cell.
