from wiki: "Santa Maria in Aracoeli ("St. Mary of the Altar of Heaven") is a basilica church in Rome, located on the highest summit of the Campidoglio. It is still the designated Church of the Italian Senate and the Roman people (Senatus Populusque Romanus). .... The foundation of the church was laid on the site of a Byzantine abbey mentioned in 574; at first it followed the Greek rite, a sign of the power of the Byzantine exarch.....The church was also famous in Rome for the wooden statue of the infant Jesus (Santo Bambino), carved in the 15th century of olive wood coming from the Gethsemane garden and covered with valuables ex-voto. Many people of Rome believed in the power of this statue. The statue was stolen in February 1994, and never recovered. Nowadays, a copy is present in the church."

Hi ROberto,

I really like your photograph of this wonderful architecture. The placement of the altar is perfect and your handling of the exposure was spot on with the possible exception of the person crossing the light ray. They have overexposed and distract a tiny bit. Other than that it is really quite good.

Cheers!

Bob G.

Ciao Roberto.
Ciao.
Bobo.

You have an excellent exposure in this shot, which results in generous presentation of details and rich colours. Its a really good photo though I would prefer a little bit more to the left without cropping out part of the arch.

Alfred

Una bella foto, con una bella luce e quella signora che illumina con il suo riflesso la scena, bravo Rob, complimenti.
Buon fine settimana
Ciao
Vinicio
