[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hermann Rorschach was a Swiss Freudian psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, best known for developing a projective test known, from his name, as the Rorschach inkblot test.

When he was in high school, Rorschach was called Klecks, or "inkblot," by his friends. Like many other young people in his native Switzerland, he enjoyed Klecksography, the making of fanciful inkblot "pictures." However, unlike other young people, Rorschach would make inkblots his life's work.

An art teacher like his father, Rorschach showed great talent at painting and drawing conventional pictures. After graduating from high school he enrolled in medical school at the University of Zurich.

Rorschach studied under eminent psychiatrist Eugen Bleuler. The excitement in intellectual circles over psychoanalysis constantly reminded Rorschach of his childhood inkblots. He wondered why different people often see entirely different things in the same inkblots. While still a medical student, he began showing inkblots to schoolchildren and analyzing their results...

(Rorschach mürekkep lekesi testi 1920'li yillarda Hermann Rorschach adinda İsviçreli bir psikiyatristin gelistirmis olduğu karakter analizi testidir. projeksiyon yöntemine dayanir, yani bireylerin nötr mürekkep lekelerini açiklamak için söyleyecekleri her şeyin istemsizce de olsa aslinda kendileri hakkinda olacagi rasyoneline. Simetrik mürekkep lekelerinden olusan 10 tane sekil gösterilir testi alana ve "ne görüyorsun" diye sorulur...)

Hi Korkut
nice POV on the shades.
You have very well managed the contrasts
Very beautifull picture
Bertrand

Hi Korkut,

excellent effect, great graphism on the floor contrasting perfectly with the "ink"-silhouettes... very interesting note.
Thanks for sharing
Günther

Hey Kuzey :P

The lonely shadow is the strongest element in this picture, the rest is just filling the picture, and together is the soul of this picture.

Perfect timing. lucky shot, you couldn't actually calculate everything. You've just waited for something to happen, IF it was going to happen.

I have a question though, seeing your gallery, does anyone of these people you've taken pictures at, said anything about? like arguing about being in the picture?

As you know I'm too shy for this kind of photography and a bit afraid of "WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE? ARE YOU PICTURING ME??" oh oh shi.@#$@#$#@@..t" hehe, Its difficult to believe that they actually contributing without being nervous. I'd like to hear some comments on that, to improve my skill. ever get caught?

Many Regards and TFS this beautiful photo

Hmmm...i see 1, 2, 3....six people performing orgies...should I worry? :p
Seriously now, there is a nice inkblot test on Tickle.com, where you can find out what's the main drive from your subconscious levels. Mine was 'peace' :)
anyway, you are really good with shadows and silhouettes, Korkut. I'm dying to see this one inverted...not saying you should have done it, just that the shadows are so clear it provokes my curiosity to see them and not the real flesh-and-blood subjects.
Speaking of which, I'm opening your previous post now...:)

Bonsoir Korkut

Hi Korkut! Most you pictures are anthropocentric have subject the person. Thus and your profession. Here you have with luminous the flooring it achieves improbable depiction of shades and figures that become same and this I like a lot(of his childhood inkblots. He wondered why different people often see entirely different things in the same inkblots?)..

Yine bakar bakmaz Korkutun bu diyeceğimiz kare.Şekilleri,Psikolojik testle ilişkilendirmek ayrı güzel düşünce.Gölgeleri yorumlamak insanın içi dünyasını anlatıyorsa sonuç iyi değil benim açımdan galiba ,(halbuki kendimlede hayatlada barışık olduğumu sanıyorum),silüetler, dinamik hayatın hızlı temposu içindeler, ama gölgeler yorgun bitkin ayağını zorla sürüyen tipler diye düşündüm.Çok ilginç testmiş,daha önce duymadım psikiatride de okumadık.TE.ü bu bakımdan da bir türlü bırakamıyorum, her kare yeni bir öğreti hepimiz için.Eline sağlık ,tebrikler, iyi hafta sonu dileklerimle

Milano'nın ışığından mıdır, yoksa kent dokusundan mıdır bilemiyorum ama bu tür siluet fotoğraflarınız gerçekten enfes çıkmış. Tabii fotoğrafı çekenin ustalığını da yadsımamak lazım.
Tebrikler, Tolga

Kalimera Korkut
A lovely study in the development of shadow changing patterns, artistically frozen at a point that allows for the creation of fantastic geometric shapes. I like this contrasting option as it maximizes the effect of the figures. The note usuful but much less than your composition
ta leme...
Argiris

Korkut,
You always find a kind of twist in your images that fit perfectly with a good note. The backlight is so strong that it is creating silhouettes. The man in the middle is the best, great step, perfect timing from your side. It now doesn't look like a still still shot but in a way it is moving. Very creative mind, great work.
Regards, Henk

Merhabalar,

It looks simple my friend Korkut but it isn't...great point of view and play with light and shadows.
But most of all congrats for the timing...to see the opportunity to take such a beautiful shot out in the streets!

All the best for the weekend file mou,
Thomas

Selamlar..

I wanted to get some relax ,and I opened TE and I found you :)
I am so nervous looking the match of your national team at EURO....
Now 15 minutes break
Here is Korkut's trademark: super POV combined with graphism and shadows !
Kisses

Good luck for Turkey :)

Korkut,
I can't believe it! A thoracic surgeon making shots and dedicating it to Rorschach? Why not dedicating it to Blalock, the first one to operate successfully a blue baby? Oh yes, I see. The image goes much better along with the inkblot psychiatric theory. Good eye and imagination to be able to abstract this image to this quite abstract part of medicine.

Merhaba Korkut bey,

...and the dark silhouettes against the brilliant light.

What else...?
He is Korkut, the photographer who makes art out of nothing, in order to I say better out from little details which not a lot of people can see.
I am really jealous for it.

hello Korkut,

Hi Korkut
These silhouttes and their shadows are stunning, especially against the shiny, graphical pavement. The contrasts are excellent.

Hello Korkut,

Very good composition with the "abstract" lines, the contrast and the sharpness are perfect!

So, what do I see? Hmmm …. the inklot gang heading for a gang bang…? It’s a pity that they don’t wear efsun skirts.
With klecksogrpahy Dr. Rorschach provided one of the most classic jokes to the comedy genre. We have to be thankful for that.
A good, typical Korkut! Why didn’t you turn the photo around btw?
