[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Piazza Barberini lies at the foot of several Roman streets, among them Via Barberini, Via Sistina, and Via Vittorio Veneto.
Bernini's baroque Triton Fountain (Italian Fontana del Tritone) is located in Piazza Barberini, Rome, near the entrance to the Palazzo Barberini (now housing the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica), which Bernini helped redesign for his patron Maffeo Barberini, who had become pope as Urban VIII.

One of Rome's oldest hotel's, the historic Hotel Bernini Bristol, situated at the start of Via Veneto and close to both the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain, opened it's doors to the first of a long series of illustrious guests back in 1874.
In 1996, the hotel was completely restructured but maintains the atmosphere from years gone by: the foyer still has the 18th century tapestries and antique rugs. The decor is just as opulent: rich with marble, precious textiles and period furniture.

Hi Christian, very good contrast and depth of field. excellent POV, i would just say the brightness of the building at the background is a bit distracting, i would ad shade or blur it to keep eyes concentration on the fountain only :)

Interesting sculpture. Nice light. I don`t admire the hotel as a background ;). I would choose the sculpture and took the photograph with a low aperture to obtain blurred building :).

Hi Christian,

A wonderful and exciting shot of this beautiful fountain. Great colors and perfect sharpness. Personally I would however preferred if you had taken one step to the left in order to place the sculpture of the fountain to the left of the building. Also am excellent note. TFS!

this image has real potentialm, but it requires some compositional changes for that. First of all you need to get the fountain statue free from the hotel in the background. Also the time of the day isn't the best one. earlier or later would have been better, or even in the night as 'euryan' did with his post at http://www.trekearth.com/viewphotos.php?l=3&p=862265
