Storm

Waves crash within the sea,
And birds dance above the shore,
Glistening fish break the glassy surface,
And rainbow sea shells grace the ocean floor.

Reflected in the water,
Is the blazing sun above,
Lighting up the world,
And filling the sea with molten gold.

The sky, it starts to darken,
Not letting through any light,
As rain starts beating down,
Flooding all in sight.

The wind starts to thrash,
And the ground begins to quiver,
As thunder rumbles through the earth,
And lighting rips up the heavens.

The sea begins getting livid,
As waves now tumble down,
Drowning out any noise,
Beating back every sound.

This composition made by nature
Will last, only a moment in time.
And will only remain a snap shot
In the storybook of life,
An inkling of a memory,
Where the forces of nature
Come together as one,
And work in concert
To paint a masterpiece
Of the secrets in the world around us.

Hallo Stella,
Sehr natürlich gezeigt die Gewallt der Natur.Interesante Bildaufbau und perfekte Lichtkontrolle.Gut gemacht.

Hi Stella .
What a dramatic photo - and a poem that says it all !!
Kindest regards
Dorte.

Hi Stella, i admire your photo! it's like a postcard.. the waves are great, they take the daylight and reflect it in different ways, sparkles.. the figure is at the right place in cadrage.. i like WS too, but this one is more effective because of the position of the model i think.. My compliments,
ReLa

Ciao Stella
Wonderfull
Very good frame and composition.Greetings.Nezih

Hi Stella,
I´m sorry to read that you are overworked and maybe this excellent photo is a reflection of your mind right now. A dramatic scene, but as you know, there are always silver linings, as in this composition!
Greetings from Gothenburg (and just back from a week in Italy)
Gunnar

Hello Stella,
Your model added great to the composition with the loneliness impression. It is obvious that the season is winter because the waves are so wild and strong. The colors and the light are very nice, too,
Best regards,
Tulay

Ciao Stella.
Un mare cosė bello e ben ripreso poteva fare a meno anche della figura umana. Ma va benissimo cosė, o anzi come nel WS, che preferisco leggermente perchč č meno statica e va verso le onde.
Buona serata.
Ciao, Bobo.

Hey Stella,
A very atmospheric shot with excellent sharpness and perfect light. That woman on the beach adds something special to your composition. Excellent job!!! Congratulations!!!
Greetings,
Natasha

Although I wouldn't want to be ON the sea when it's like this, I would love to be the one walking along the shore. There is so much power in this image. Well done! Have a great day!

Amazing!Motion and motionless!Noise versus silence!
Simply wonderful image,perfect capture
Hugs

Ciao Stella
What a lovely combination, the wind and the waves in the sea & in her hair.
A perfect composition,

Nice one Stella, this one really well illustrates the title and the hint of hair color is a beautiful touch. Great capture of the ever changing sea.

Greg

Hello Stella,

What a lovely view of peace and private contemplation. The lines by Angel Lockhart that you've cited are lovely. This could be the scene for Newton's famous pronouncement, "I seem to myself like a child, playing on the sea-shore, and picking up here and there a curious shell or a pretty pebble, while the boundless ocean of Truth lies undiscovered before me."

Warm regards,

Bulent

Photos like that makes you to feel nice, makes you to feel alive, makes you to feel lucky to be on this planet.
Excellent photo Stella, with very good use of the light and perfect frame division.
Very good choice the woman's placement to the down corner of the picture, that gives the final, special touch to the all composition.
Warm regards.
Kostas
