Photographer’s Note

Another picture of the lighthouse I’ve already posted here in TE. (See:
Palau Lighthouse)
Of course this time the atmospheric conditions were very different: It was very cloudy the whole day and at the moment of the shot the sun was almost setting, so the lighthouse was already in the shade. I thought to change the white balance before shooting it.

Un’altra foto del faro che ho già pubblicato qui su TE. (Vedi:

Naturalmente questa volta le condizioni atmosferiche erano molto diverse: molto nuvoloso il cielo per l’intera giornata e al momento dello scatto il sole stava quasi per tramontare, perciò il faro era già in ombra. Ho pensato di cambiare la regolazione del bianco prima dello scatto.

Composizione egregia e bella riproduzione delle superfici: a voler trovare il pelo nell'uovo manca una macchia di bianco (ah, se il faro fosse stato di quel colore!) che sollevi il tono generale dell'immagine.

Ciao Donato,
questa me l'ero persa. Bellissima l'atmosfera venutasi a creare, con il faro a dominare la scena e ben contrastato dal cielo nuvoloso ad incombere sul mare. C'e' anche un senso di pace e silenzio che traspare, magari rotto soltanto dal rumore delle acque sugli scogli. Ben composta e ben presentata.
Mi permetto di postare un ws su come l'avrei voluta vivere una scena cosi.

Hello Donato, an interesting view of the lighthouse.I really like the prominence of the rocks in the fg.The silhouette of the lighthouse looks good against the evening sky.

Preferisco senz'altro questo scatto rispetto all'altro che hai pubblicato dello stesso faro ... il p.o.v. qui Donato è senza dubbio di grande effetto, la luce magari non darà il particolare risalto alle rocce che in sardegna, così modellate, rivelano sempre mille sensazioni...però grazie a questa tua composizione il risultato finale mi piace moltissimo, il cielo così pastellato e profondo ed anche i colori tenui del faro in questo mare d'argento...Una foto molto apprezzabile Donato,poi in condizioni non facili, bravo.

The weather is a bit cloudy in this one, as mentioned in your note, but I like the composition with the large rock leading to the lighthouse,and there is a good depth with the shore in the background.

Elle me plaît bien cette photo-ci. La composition et la lumière sont superbes.
Il s'en dégage une atmosphère très particulière et intéressante (et bien plus riche que celle des photos du WS).
C'est la première fois que je vois une photo de la Sardaigne avec de telles rochers aux formes arrondies et constitués probablement de granit. Ils me font penser aux rochers roses qu'on trouve dans les Côtes d'Armor en Bretagne. Ces rochers donnent beaucoup de douceur à ta photo.
La composition est bien pensée : une diagonale de rochers qui guide l'oeil vers le phare et un ciel sompteux en fond.
Belle réalisation Donato. Mes compliments.
