Trieste in the blue hour, as seen from the "Napoleonica" road AKA "Strada Vicentina" (click on it to see wide panorama). Have been there thousands times, but never with the camera.

Starting from the left, almost completely hidden by the trees, is the top of the Vittoria lighthouse. Immediately behind that, on the right, the train station, and the line of yellow lights that runs along the coast, passing by the Lanterna yacht piers and the Ro-Ro docks. Behind the town, the light beams and the smoke of the industrial zone. On the background, the first istrian hills.

Technical: stitch of three shots, made at 90 mm FL (135 equivalent), stopped down to improve sharpness and low ISO to minimise noise. The long 6 second exposure was therefore unavoidable.

Ciao Marko
This is a great panoramic. I like the exposure and the bluish tones. very nice sharpness and light reflections. The stitch is really well managed.
The large version is really impressive
cheers

Hi, Marko,
lovely blue tones and marvelous reflections. I like that wide, wide view. Very nice sharpness for that time of day and you did a great job with the stitching. Hey, and I even know what RO-RO's are. :)) Very nicely done! Thanks and have a fine week,
Shelly

Hi Marko, the colour you have in this shot is fabulous, and of course it really stands out in the large post. You have excellent sharp detail throughout the shot. There's nothing wrong with 6 seconds, your exposure was awesome. Shooting this shot, you did everything right as far as I can tell, you shot with the lowest ISO you could, and exposure is great. I don't know what your workflow is but for the most part your work looks very clean. The stitching is flawless. Very nice work.

Thanks, enjoyed! John

Ciao Marco,

che spettacolo! Una dominante blu molto affascinante e un dettaglio sbalorditivo.

Bravissimo!

Hi Marko,
While the normal size version has slightly oversharpened appearance, the large one is just wonderful. Deep blues all over, highlighted by golden city lights. And reflections on water spreading to stripes. Great viewpoint, magnificient light.
Kari

Ciao Marko!!
Bravissimo!!
