Photographer’s Note

The name Vettore probably derives from Victor, winner in height on the other near tops, seen from the high mount Vettore has the shape of a horse iron, that it begins in the western part from Pass Viola (1936 m. slm) continues for top of the Redentore (2448 m. slm), the higher point of the western depositor, go of continuation towards east and towards north, then forming a semicircle of 1,6 km of diameter, until its maximum summit Carrier (2476 m. slm), in the province of Ascoli Piceno, from the crest in direction north arrives here until Torrone Mount (2117 m. slm). The horse iron sinks to its inside until to quota 1940 m. slm in the river basin of the Lake of Pilato. Una più bella dell'altra questa serie sul Vettore e la Piana al disgelo. Quando hai un attimo di tempo facci vedere, magari su TL e se ci sono ancora, le filastrocche scritte a vernice bianca sui muri di alcune case di Castelluccio. Mi sembra avessero un significato simpatico anche ...piccante.

Senti Silvio,...ma stiamo parlando della stessa Umbria che ho visistato un paio di volte tanti tanti anni fa? quella piccola regione che pare solo di colline dolci e di bei borghi?
o di un'Umbria in Canada o in Siberia?
perchè ci stai facendso scoprire angoli della tua Regione veramente sorprendenti, dall'altopiano di Castelluccio a questo monte con un paesaggio di Antartide! (cavallo a parte!)

A beautiful mountain and the white coat of snow is well exposed, the ice on the lake breaking up is a sure sign of spring!

Really nice view of this landscape with the impressive, snowy mountain in the background. Good inclusion of the fields and in particular the lake in the foreground. The horses scattered across the fields in the foreground are a nice detail. Well captured, thanks for sharing!

Ciao Silvio, una bella prospettiva su un monte ancora carico di neve, d'altronde a Bologna stamattina sembrava novembre.... Colori molto soft, l'unica cosa che non mi piace molto è la cornicina nera.

I didn't know there was such a grandeur mountain around Perugia. It looks like a huge dormant volcano. With the horses grazing, that little cloud like a crown on top of it and the lake, the compo is very good.

di primo acchitto mica avevo realizzato che si trattava di un paesaggio italiano; convinto che fosse una foto scattata nell'europa del nord, in una delle terre remote. E' davvero un gran bel vedere con il monte innevato a dare un tocco soft alla scena, aiutato anche dal bel cielo. Davvero un buon lavoro.

Mi piace molto questa foto del Monte Vettore innevato! La nitidezza è perfetta, e la vicinanza del lago da un'effetto eccellente. La presenza della vaca è un detttaglio interessante. Si chiede cosa puo trovare da mangiare in questo paesaggio innevato!
