bonjour Andre, tu l attendais ce pieton en rouge...... cela donne de la couleur a la photo sous la pluie, une belle lumiere dans ce pasage eclaire les murs ocres, tres bien vu comme composition avec l ouverture sur la rue,

Quel timing. Allez, tu l'as payé pour qu'en plus le parapluie soit rouge, avoue ! Ca illumine complétement ta compo, et donne une image super dynamique.
Très bon contraste, et belle ambiance de ruelle froide et humide.

Very nice shelter found, waited with patience and the rain evaluated with a great success. No blue hour or barbie thing here, but i like this walking anonymous figures issue, as you well know from my gallery.
And i especially like the "trapped-rat narrow POV".

Excellent timing ! Effectivement, c'est lorsque l'on séloigne des sentiers battus que l'on découvre les points de vues intéressant et les images inédites ! Il n'y a qu'à admirer la vue sur le Cervin que tu as posté il y a quelques jours !!
La perspective jusque sur la rive d'en face est une très bonne idée et l'homme au parapluie et la cerise sur ton gateau ! !
Bravo pour le coup d'oeil !

Bonjour André,

On se demande si le bonhomme n'était pas spécialement commandé! je me dis que certain ont un sacré pot... Pour une fois, on se passera avec bonheur de la règle des tiers en composition générale. Sujet parfaitement au milieu et pas l'ombre d'un problème... Mais il est vrai que le personnage respecte la fameuse règle des tiers dans le cadre que forme le portique et que la ligne d'horizon n'est pas non plus au milieu non plus... c'est peut-être cela qui dynamise tant l'image.

yes, he is definitely an athlete in tracksuit, going to or coming from a training session. otherwise, he wouldn't be walking around all in red like a typical english lady wearing the same colour from head to toe. ))) anyway, the alley you took refuge is a very nice place with the beautiful architecture across the water. even without the guy in red, it would be a good photo. with the guy, now it is like a tribute to chris de burgh! )))

Weren't your arms aching?!! ;D I have an image in my mind of you standing still with the camera to your eye for 15 minutes. If it was me I would just put it down for a rest and the person would appear!
The way the alleyway-opening frames the cemetery building is wonderful and the perspective is perfect as lead-in, but you're right; it needed a person and you were lucky enough to get one in red! Well done

La patience doit sans doute être la plus grande qualité d'un photographe. Une très belle réalisation avec une exposition bien gérée malgré ces conditions de lumière difficile.
Heureusement que n'est pas "waterproof", on aurait rater cette bonne photo.

The exposure of the photo and the position of the figure (with a red umbrella, no less) are perfect. This photo has the elements to win a big contest. Why don’t you submit it to a photo magazine? Your patience and timing should be rewarded.

Il y a des similiatudes avec nos images du jour - en tout cas un personnage entre 2 murs. Mais je crois que nos idées sont aux pôles opposés avec toi en rouge et moi en jaune.
Le timing est top et la cimitière est en effet joli au fond. Bien sûr j'aurais préféré quelqu'un en jaune mais.

This is one of the most original shots I've seen of Venice and very clever too. The way you framed the cemetery entrance in the passageway was brilliant. Your waiting paid off with this man in red. I love the way the soft overcast light looks on the buildings too. A great capture.

C'est pas de la composition aux petits oignons ça? Du travail d'orfèvre avec une gestion magnifique des différentes zones lumineuses et l'intégration de cet homme rouge (pas besoin de dire quel est le sponsor de cet athlète!)cadré pile poil au bon moment (c'est pas possible,tu lui as demandé de repasser plusieurs fois!). J'aime beaucoup!

it seems that the photography gods were with you hidding under the same porch with you at the same time. Man, they so your big equipment and thought that you deserve that special moment that others never get to see and capture. The perfect frame and the perfect color - all red? You must be kidding! From all your recent posts this is certainly the best to show anyone what a REAL decisive moment is.

Hi Andre,
You are a very patient man! and here it paid off. The narrow street with tall walls and small doorway makes the perfect eye leader to the eye catching "man in red" and beyond him the peachy coloured building of the cemetary. I also like the walls of the alley, on one side rough textures of the bricks and the other a smooth painted wall. Nicely done!
