| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| I took this by the waters of a famous ancient spring the river Clitunno near Spoleto in Italy. In ancient times it was a popular place that poets like VIrgil wrote about, and were the oracle of the god of the water, Clitunno, was worshiped and consulted. (see http://www.argoweb.it/apt_spoleto/spoletino.uk.html) I hardly touched the original, but did to a little trick.. the effect is a mystical dreamy feeling. Let me know what you think. |

Hi Peter.
Nice picture and nice note.
Well done both.
Best regards.
Bobo.
che meraviglia, sembra un quadro impressionista.

Hi Peter,
I find this quite interesting. It has a very painterly feel to it. It is a sometimes hackneyed comparison but I do find impressionist textures in this. Inverting the image as you've done is what probably most gives this feeling. It's hard to tell really at this small size but I think I'd find enjoyment in the larger version as well. I'm not sure about the wonky inverted horizon but at this size I'm not bothered by it.
Cheers!
Bob G.
