Photographer’s Note
Ponte Vecchio means "Old Bridge" in Italian. It was built in 1345. Originally, the bridge buildings housed butcher shops and greengrocers. This changed in the 15th century when the government decided that such enterprises were unglamorous for Ponte Vecchio's image. The food merchants were soon replaced with gold and silversmiths.The jewelry trade continues to this day to be a mainstay on the bridge (extract from

Quite bright, sharp and colorful picture, mainly considering you should be quite far from the brigde (I bet you were at that square where is a replica of Micheangelo's David... oh! we miss Florence so much!). I'm not sure about the composition, maybe it would be better if you cut off all buildings on the foreground. This would lead our eyes to the bridge itself, and it will be off centered also. I think this buildings call our attention too much. I've done a workshop, hope you like it.

A well framed shot, Regis. Lovely rich colours and excellent detail. The reflections in the water make this photo of Ponte Vecchio quite special. Well seen.

Nice shot with the Arno and road along it leading us across this shot. It's a very good shot of the bridge in its context, too. Your point of view is quite good, here. And you got some nice reflections in the river. It has a morning feel to me. When the water is calm and some morning traffic along the road. The lighting adds to that, though if I read the shadows right this was in the afternoon. But it still has a calm feel. It just seems a little soft overall. Well done.

J'aime beaucoup l'angle de vue et son cadrage large qui présente bien ce pont dans son environnement. Le perspective avec l'enchaînement des différents ponts est très bien vue, ainsi que le reflet. Bravo !

Une vue magnifique d'une ville extraordinaire du point de vue architecturale. Couleurs lumineuses. Vue plongeante qui donne un bon apperçu de la citée. Bravo, belle réalisation;

Hi Regis
I like this fine view of the famous bridge, well placed in the compo which at the same time include the grand river and also some other bridges. The 'capitol' of Tuscany have so much to offer, and I think not only the bridge but also the frine buildings is a good 'add-on' in the presentation. Well done.

bella la foto ma è sbagliata la sezione in cui la foto è pubblicata. Firenze non è in Emilia Romagna ma è in Toscana!
