In my summer holiday in Italy, I visited this lovely city for one day...it simply, was not long enough...

Venice, this romantic city, is a world tourist attraction.

In TE there are many photos of Venice...I hope you will like my point of view.

Hi Liliana,
despite this point of view from Venice is one big cliché, I acknowledge that possess a great charm and even I have a similar into my gallery. The composition is good, the colours are great, but the light seems too harsh and moreover the picture is oversharped in my oppinion.
Otherwise, the picture is good.

E chiar frumos incadrata,ca o vedere.Venezia...desi de la noi sunt excursii de 2 zile(weekend-ul) in Venezia,si nici nu e scump(in jur de 150-200 euro)n-am profitat de ocazie...poate la anul.Nicely done.

This is a good shot with a good point of view! I like your composition with the definite foreground, a middle body and the background. The only improvement I see is reducing the too high contrast and putting warmth in your lighting.

You have captured the soul of Venice. The gondolas on the magnificent emeral water, Santa Salute Maggiore in the background, and the seagull you've frozen in the air — these elements collaborate like the instruments of a symphony orchestra to make this a very beautiful photograph.

This is an excellent view of this famous city, and you're right, one day is not enough time to enjoy it's many sites. I must have stood on the very same spot when I was there, as I have taken quite a similar shot to this. Your colours and clarity are very good and you've managed the lighting well, which is not always possible in Venice. Well done.

A classic view of this wonderful city. A pity that the light is a little bit too strong. This place is very nice in the evening as the sun goes down on the roght side. But you are right, one day is not enough.

I like it Liliana. The composition is really good, with the gondolas (which you captured sharply which isn't an easy thing to do with the bobbing they are always doing) in the foreground, San Giorgio offset in the background, seagull in mid flight and lamp poking in on the left. Nice saturated colors and great framing to compliment the photo also.

Nice work. Although there are alot of Venice photos being uploaded daily, you have definitely put your signature colors into this one making it stand out on the page.

wunderbares Bild einer sehr schönen Stadt. Ich war letztes Jahr in Venedig und muss sagen du hast alle typischen Elemente Venedigs auf deinem Bild vereint. Dafür schon mal ein Kompliment. Die Bildeinteilung ist sehr harmonisch mit den Gondeln im Vordergrund und San Giorgio Maggiore dezent im Hintergrund. Zudem stellt die Möwe ein nettes Detail dar.

Hi Lili,

A very ver ygood shot. It shows the quietness of this place (since there in no human presence in it). It tells some stories here without including human. Maybe this place is usually crowded with tourists and here it is the quietness. It looks so lonely here. I always imagin to go there and ride on the boat like that. Must be very nice. Did you ride on the boat?

This is a very nice sharp image with good light and colors.

Hello Liliana,

Although very classical view taken from San Marco with the gondolas, the colros are wonderful and the picture attracts the eye immediately.
But if I were with you I would care about a few details such as placing object: Small details perhaps but it helps. For instance there is a small light house which touches the poles where gondolas are bound, I would set it free, because it is so important to see it all .Second I would leave some room in front of the gondolas on the left, and finally I would wait for the passing vaporetto in the back to get out of the frame.
I am sure that you will appreciate these comments, and imagine how the picture would eventually look after.

Postcard perfect! Though a traditional Venice favorite vista, yet the most romantic capture. The image is very sharp, no need for the extra contrast, the horizontal framing is perfect for the composition. Colours are divine, blend of blue, sea-green and the charm of the place makes your own Venetia!

Hi Liliana, the saturated colours here are fantastic, especially the green of the water and the blue of the gondolas, this is what makes this shot stand out. I think I have a photo from the same POV somewhere in my archives...

Very nice point of view with these traditonal gondalas and the island in the background. The sky color is less interesting than the rest of the picture in my opinion, but the color of the water in the foreground matches perfectly with the blue and black of the gondolas.

Hi Liliana, of course we like your POV of Venezia ... always difficult to add something new and fresh from such a photographied place ... Your compo is not that much original but there aren't 10 000 ways of representing this city ;)
I love the colors and hard contrasts there .. always a bemol on your way to over sharpen but this is just my opinion ;)

Desi visul meu este sa vad Venetia toamna si sa fac niste foto alb-negru (am eu o idee fixa :) ), imi place compozitia ta - foarte reusita combinatia asta de verde (excelent redata apa) si albastru.
Incadrarea e foarte buna (am observat ca de obicei esti foarte atenta la acest aspect).
Toate cele bune.

Servus Liliana,

O compozitie excelenta si culori foarte frumoase. Astea caracterizeaza fotografia ta. Imi place in mod deosebit cum ai plasat linia orizontului si culoarea apei. As fi vrut sa nu fi taiat din barca din stanga si sa reduci putin din contrast dar astea sunt lucruri minore. Cerul ti-a iesit foarte fain si chiar vroiam sa te intreb daca ai folosit vreun gradient sau ai aplicat un filtru in PP? Multumesc!

Hi Liliana, I think the requirements of TE hasn't shown the quality of this shot in it's best light though that's no fault of yours and applies to many of our postings. Whilst we're on the negatives I don't care much for the thick frame at the bottom but I appreciate frames are a very personal choice. That's that over and now on to the good points. I like the composition, it's well balanced and the colours, especially the blue, are superb and it goes well with the green of the water. The light is a bit harsh but you've done well with it. The bell tower of the Piazza San Marco stands out well in the background and the bird & street lamp add extra interest. Venice is a place I've visited but many years ago, perhaps one day I'll return, who knows? A lovely shot Liliana, well seen.
