Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken in Siena, Tuscany, from the top of "Torre del Mangia", the main tower of Siena, in
Piazza del Campo" (the main square in Siena). The place is, I think, worldwide famous, and, to my opinion, is one of the most beautiful places in Italy. Siena itself is probably one of the "must" in Italy, for a tourist. The square, here seen fron the top, is shell-like shaped, and is the place where, twice a year, there is the horse race called "il Palio", an old horse race, whose origins are in the middle age, which, for poeple in Siena, is much more than happening, and its meaning is not easy to understand for strangers.
Picture taken with a Nikon F70, 18-35 and Velvia 50, and then scanned.

Thats a beautiful image with a dramatic pov and angle. I like te soft colour scheem and the patterns on the ground and those people which appear as specks as they walk around. A lovely image indeed.

Ciao, Cristian

Prfect POV, graphic structure emphasize the colour of brick, the so called "burnt siena". TFS, Jalab

Ciao Stefano,
I've been to Rome and Florence before, unfortunately not to Siena, and again unfortunately i was without a qualified camera with me. I can feel the enjoyment of looking down from the top of Torre del Mangia, and you made very nice graphics out of the shell shaped piazza with tiny figures spread on it. I particularly like the umrella duo, and the charming tiny-mini pigeons. Good eye and idea. Congrats,
Deniz

Hi Stefano,
Wonderful pov. The top view is really a treat to watch. This also informs us about the length scale involve in the system. good work..

Hi Stefano, huge one as i already told you, this is a very nice picture.
The plus is the shadow of this castle in low part of the pic and the diagonals in eventail.
Clever shot, i love it
