Portofino, Italy, a charming little place with a tiny natural port carved into the soft rocks. The whole town shines in tones of pastel and clay. Nothing seems out of place, including the people. The italians are very stylish people and I would often stumble upon delightful moments like this one. This man was sitting in the harbour area, which was quite busy that day due to ferries going in and out full of tourists. Yet he was in complete contrast, quiet in his own world, reading his book and paying little attention to those around him. My camera is small and so is my zoom. To capture this man this close I had to pretend I was capturing the birds and the flowers and then quickly point at him and shoot. This is the best of 3 pictures I managed to take. I added the small black frame with "special effect" as a way to contrast the colours of the flowers, the boat in the background and the plain white clothes worn by the man.
I don't know the state where Portofino is so I put it in La Spezia which is not too far away :)
