Burano, early afternoon Photo

Photographer’s Note

: Burano is an island far off the main Venetian island group. Nearly an hour on a vaporetto from Venezia.
It's an island of fishermen and lacemakers, mostly. Burano's famous bright colours are told to be chosen for the sake of the boats returning home from afar and sometimes in a fog.
They seemed to me too kitschy in the beginning, but in an hour or so I became quite used to them and liked them a lot. Also they go so well with today's cheap plastics, that are in use everywhere. All together it acquired an esthetics of its own.

Very nice compo with all those lines and colours contrsting one another. The blue building is very pretty and the person in the window makes the whole thing special.

Hermosa composicion. Bellos colores y contrastes. Opotuno momento para el disparo, con la mujer sobre la ventana y la escoba apoyada sobre la pared.

Pretty composition. Beautiful colors and contrasts. Opportune moment for the shot, with the woman on the window and the leant broom the wall.

very very nice picture:)..I loved the colors, composition and all..I think there are som many lovely details at the bottom falh already that lower two floors cropped can also make another lovely picture..thanks

Great frame , very good colours and good exposure, the geometry is great and the contrasty colours are very good.

Je ne sais pas où donner du regard, toutes ces fenêtres détournent mon attention de la femme. Les couleurs sont superbes et la netteté sont en rendez-vous.

Hello, Gali:-) Another beautiful image of Burano daily life. All theese blue and green colours make it so marine, and suddenly a red bright spot in the senter, and this motion. Did not you think about croping the shot to quadrat...? Just 1 cm above that window with the women..?
