View from Accademia Bridge Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is a well known view from the Accademia Bridge. I have saturated the colours of the photo to resemble to Fuji Velvia slide film.

The colour of the water was very green and the sky was a clear cobalt blue. I don't get to see these colours in England very often.

Venice is a wonderful city and I will be returning in November with my antique Leica IIIa to get some winter photos.

Hi Garry, I like the pov very much. The way the boats are dispersed along the picture brings a very good depth. Thanks for explaining in your note why you saturated colours but to me you went a little too far.
Good job anyway !

A very nice view of the canal. The gondolas give us many nice points of interest through the photo. The canal leads the eye through the photo nicely. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and DOF.

Hi Garry..nice picture. The composition works well. This picture is much more peaceful than the average containing so many tourists.

truly venice, truly itaslian!
well composed to show the gondolier in action and the the tourists' exciting reaction. the vibrant water rather than the usual murky gives an appealing presentation.
i love venice myself, i wish i be back, soon!

Great compositioning in the position of the boats. Pity about the scaffolding, but I guess you couldn't wait. :-)

In this photo, unlike your Campanille and Palace shot, I think the saturation works, because the saturated colors are accents. In the other shot, they overwhelmed.
