Photographer’s Note

Hello folks.
This is a view over the arch of Constantine just outside the Colosseum. The photo is taken from the Colosseum.
This arch was built in the early 4th century and is the ‘youngest’ of the today existing triumphal archs in Rome. Is 21 meters high and almost 26 meters wide and 7.4 meters thick. The largest of the archways is 11.5 meters high and 6.5 meters wide. The lower part of the monument is built of marble blocks, the top (called attic) is brickwork reveted with marble.
In the background is the Palatine hill.
