| The Bridge of Sighs in Venice. This bridge links, over the cannal, the Venician courts on the left , to the jail on the right. Once convicted and sentenced, prisoners were taken via this bridge from the courts to the jail. As they passed over, it is said that they sighed, as this would be their last sight of freedom for a very long time and in most cases the last sight. |

Hello Merv,
Wonderful place to take a shot! I sigh,too, just thinking about it! Great pov, the eye is naturally taken into the shot. Lovely detail of the architecture! I like the idea of having the people in the foreground but I'm afraid the half face distracts me though. I have done a little workshop to show what I mean.
