The Vatican Museums conceal little marvels. If you take your time instead of running like all tourists to the Sixtine Chapel, you will certainly discover a work which touches you more particularly. That was the case of this splendid sarcophagus which decorates the court of the Octagone in the museum Pio Clementino. The glance of this lion cutting the throat of a gazelle is seizing of realism and this photo is my favorite (with the staircase of Bramante).

Beau cliché bien serré et avec un bon cadrage qui replace le sarcophage dans son environnement. Tout à fait d'accord avec ta remarque concernant les musées du Vatican.
