Photographer’s Note
The abbey San Galgano, which is with approximately 30km of Siena, was founded in 1201. The church was built by the cistercians between 1224 and 1288. Today, it remains of this imposing Gothic building only the ripe ones. The roof broke down during the 17th century.
Rainy days are not always fantastic to practise the photography ; I tried here to benefit from the puddle pools on the ground of the church.

Great photo. I like the composition and colors, as well as the sharp detail. The reflection captured in the photo is perfect. It is nice how it is kind of illuminated in back and shadowed in front. Nice job!

A very fine use of the reflection. The water on the ground is a bit of a surprise in itself as the picture has an indoor feeling. Very well done!

Fine composition, Nicolas. I like the crispness and toned down colours, but the thing that really makes this shot is the very nicely captured reflection. Great job!

Good sharpness, contrast and colors. I like the wonderful perspective and architectural detail of the early gothic arches reflecting in the water.
Splendid composition!

What a beautiful composition. The textures are perfect. The reflection is beautiful. It has a sad feel to it. Of something old and forgotten now but what was once very new and shiny. The Cistercian Gothic is beautiful like this as I have seen at Fossanova and Casamari. Think you utilized the rainy day here very nicely. Very beautiful. Great job.

the reflection in the water adds at the dark side of the composition, this framing is an excellent choice.
