Photographer’s Note
During the carnival, the organizer prepare a huge stage in the middle of st.marco square, with decoration of masquarades and the masks.
I saw this man cleaning up before the show began.
About the photo, no partial desaturation, the surrounding building is grey by nature. I cropped from this picture and adjusted the line.
And this picture of different man from another side of the stage. I like this one as well, but unfortunately his foot were cut.
But from both photos you might have better idea of the stage :)

Hello Cessy,
pastel colours and suddenly the brilliant and lively colour of the bordeux /red curtain in the box looked wonderful.

Hi Cessy,
I saw the workshops too and I think this one is the best. I just love it, I like the pillar in the middle which divides the photo in two, b&w and color part and I especially like that the man is in the b&w part. Very creative photo.
Best,
Gordana.

Hi Cessy. A witty and clever observation, it seems as if the masked figure at the right were mocking the man who is working on tidying up the place. Nice effect with the "natural partial desaturation", too, I like this one.

Hi Cessy
What a great and an unusual view after the carnival! The chap at the window is watching the cleaner at work! Your crop works very well too, really focusing in on the subject. And the combination of fake and real architecture was a bit of a puzzle for the eye to work out. Great shot.

Hi Cessy. I think I like the composition of the original wide view the most. I think if you upped the contrast more that would help combat the grey buildings. Nice shot Cessy.

Hi Cessy,
I like the way you've cropped from the original image. There seems to be a mix of two worlds here, with the real one in B&W and full of 'garbage' to clean up! ;o)
Have a nice day.

Hi Cessy,
nice image, it looks like the puppet is watching (and laughing) at the working man. Well done.

Hi cessy
Nice juxtapositioning of colour, & b&w, and a good daily life shot of the street sweeper. Excellent sharpness & framing. Tfs!

Hello Cessy,
Such a weird post it is! And so wonderful, i mean full of wonders. Touch of faded tones with the combination of lively ones make it look like a partially colored image, but it is amazingly not! Also the presence combination of a real man with a puppet (?) creates the humor in it. Square format is lovely, including so much details inside. TFS,

Deniz

Hi Cessy,
A humorous shot. The animation of the sweeper, with his scarf dangling, contrasted with the bright cheery visage of the inanimate fellow from the past, is really quite effective and humorous. I also like the way you cropped. I am glad your note mentioned the natural colouring because it certainly appears like a partial B&W. As it is, the large format combined with the dynamism really gives the shot some sizzle. First rate.

Hej Cessy,
Great capture of this man cleaning the stage, well seen too. The colourful decoration is nice as a contrast to the grey, but classic, buildings in the rest of the background. Good work!

Hi Cessy,
Amazing contrast between the grey tones and coloured parts. At first a thought you post processed this effect, but when I looked at the WS I discovered it is real.
The result is a very powerful and intriguing image.
It really deserves a great complement.

Hi Cessy,
I like this a lot, although it seems that people didn't get hooked a lot on this one. Everywhere where people do a lot of parties other have to work hard to give the nice appearence. Quite often we don't get to see this activity and can't appreciate it as well as we can do it here.
