Photographer’s Note

Une des curiosités, lorsque l'on se trouve à Venise, est le fait que les "bus" sont des bateaux(vaporetti); cela fait la joie des touristes qui profitent de visiter la ville et ses environs autrement qu'en gondole.
Ici, voici un vaporetto dont le capitaine semble donner la direction à suivre à ses passagers.

Very interesting shot!Fabulous Canon 85/f1.2 was a good choice. Picture looks very impressive in this focal lenght. Good asymethrical composition and very good sharpness.

c'est la teinte N/B qui a attiré mon oeil en premier. C'est un bon choix. Le mouvement créé par le vaporetto sur les vagues est de toute beauté et les monuments à l'arrière de la capitale vénétienne sont bien placés. J'aime bien pour finir le côté moins touristique que d'habitude de cette photo.

Intéressante compo nous laissant voir la ville mais quand même centrée sur le sujet qu'est ce bateau. N & B très contrasté. Tout les passagers semblent regarder le photographe.

Hi Claude, this is an interesting photo - I like the inclusion of the Venice skyline in the background. It immediately gives the setting. A very sharp picture, considering it was taken of a moving boat from another one. Also interesting to choose b & w, but I think it helps to capture atmosphere and therefore it was successful. Well done!

hi claude,
fitting choice for BW tone. this taxiboat that is the main means of transport around Venice is clearly detailed. the off centered subject giving a view of the cathedral behind adds another exciting scene of this exciting city. your foto allows me to think of going back visit.
