Isola tiberina - late evening.

view of Rome, In full historic center.

just in the front of tiberine island,
probaby where city of Rome has began his history.
Tevere is divided into 2 by the island.
there's a little fall.
is a good place for fishing.
Sea is not far.
muggini (Liza saliens) that rise the river from the sea meet this fall, and cannot rise more.
fishermans.... they wait this moment.
i saw in the time of a cigarette people hooking fishes for 15 of more kilos.

fishing people, seem strange, there.
....straingers.
everyone is fishing, he does it for something.
his stomach.

for people that just don't know it...
tevere there is heavily polluted.
the river, after about 350 km, tooked chemical and biological refusal for a surface of 17.374,996 km².
eat one of that fish
is like eat a piece of shit.
but they're so hungry....

That's a very nice B/W image I like the fisherman and the beer bottle and the way you composed the image with only the base of the fishing pole. The B/W tonal scale is well represented from distinct shadors to detailed highlights

come si sul dire ha icolto l'attimo!mi fa sta foto e la scelta del binco e nero è ottima la cornice nera da ancora piu' risalto all'immagine .ottimo lavoro.

High, it's an interesting photo and excellent note, but are you sure that it's not just stupid hobby, lot of such persons in Saint-Petersburg catching fish in Neva river, but usually they just spending time there, not really caring about catching something. It's different in Rome?
