Photographer’s Note
The village of San Gimignano in Tuscany is a photographer's paradise like many other villages. I took this picture from under a gate into the sunlight so the contrast is high. I like that in a picture as it gives a sort of tension. Hope you like it to or else I would like to hear your comments.
The town of San Gimignano is full of age(s)-old buildings and narrow gateways. In addition it has a thick wall around it. In short a medieval beauty! The town is well known for it's towers. In the middle ages your status would go up as the tower of your house was higher. The result is a town with a lot of towers.
ps: A beautiful wine is made in this area called Vernaccia di San Gimignano (I love it;-)

I like this one Jan. Lots of details, nice composition and nice colours - well done.

It's a very nice shot. The composition is great as it gives me the feeling that I'm about to exit a tunnel. The characters at the bottom corners are quite distracting, though.
