Photographer’s Note

A simple view from the Marina di Campo beach in Elba Island, in Tuscany.
Taken after a sea storm, in the morning, at sunrise, looking south-east.

I went early in the morning on the beach because there where two sailing ships run aground (this is one). I took several images around and i will post them in the next days.

Just in case you asked yourself, none was hurt and the ship was recovered the following day.

I like the drama atmosphere, the beach, the sea, the mounts, the clouds and the sunrays.

This is a really atmospheric shot, Alberto.
The light is dramatic, and the washed up yacht emphasises the power of the waves.
You've composed this very well also.
Impressive work.

Mamma mia che bella!! Mi spiace per i proprietari, ma ti hanno dato l'occasione per uno scatto incredibile. La cosa più bella è la luce con quella nebbiolina mattutina. L'avrei intitolata: oggi è un altro giorno.

Veramente una bella foto, Alberto.
La luce é incredibile, con quella nebbiolina (vera o creata?).
E vedendola sono contenta di aver tanto insistito quest'estate durante le nostre vacanze a vela per farmi assegnare un posto in porto: in porto soffiavano 80 km/h e fuori rischiavi di fare la fine della barca fotografata.
Ancora complimenti.

Nice shot. I like the lighting, the colors, and most of all the subject. Very well balanced, as well. The lines on the boat seems a bit jagged, as do the mountain tops. Maybe the photo is a bit too compressed or sharpened. Aside from that, great photo!

Se guardando la tua foto mi metto nei panni del propietario della barca direi che mi piange il cuore :-)
Visto che non sono propietraio ti posso fare i complimenti per la bella foto che hai fatto, soggetto interessante e splendida luce, la foschia a sinistra e la luce del sole a destra sono le mie preferite, complimenti.

Bellissima foto che trasmette bene la sensazione del cattivo tempo; certo che il 15 di settembre c'è stato una delle più intense ondate di maltempo degli ultimi anni specie nella zona dell'Elba e della Corsica...

Hi Alberto,
this photo is just magnificent! I love how you captured the sprays of water (or is it haze?) and the moment of morning sun struggling through the heavy clouds. The composition is great too, but...the image looks a bit tilted (or is it optical illusion? - hard to say, there are no lines to catch a real horizontal line).
