Photographer’s Note
The Guinigi tower is a part of the Guinigi Palace which was built in the 14th century. Some green oaks have grown on its top.
In 1392, the powerful Guinigi family took progressively the upper hand and conquered the Lordship of the city of Lucca in 1400; they remained in power until 1430.
