New Year's Eve, Venice. One of the hardest things to do in Venice is take romantic pictures which fulfill your fantasies about a place when everywhere you look there's a motorised waterbus, or watertaxi. Despite sounding romantic, they certainly don't look at it.
Shooting in black and white helps quite a bit in this respect. I'd have loved to get this without the waterbuses in the background...and it wouldn't have worked in colour I think, but in black and white, there's just a slight hint of nostalgia.
