[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This small forum on the Via Dei Fori Imperiali from 96 AC is illuminated by floodlights which accentuates the different colors. It was temporarely closed during our stay, so I had to settle for a strange angle. The upside of this was that I could steady the Kodak on the gate.
The picture is cropped, saturated & sharpened.

Very nice. Good detail and the shadow and light play really nicely together. Are the Imperial Fora open at all? They have always been closed on my trips. I thought it was because of the ongoing archaeological work. Anyway, your "strange angle" does not detract at all. Nicely photographed.

I really like this one - the sharpness of the colors and details (due to lighting?) It's an interesting angle, and shows the "once granduer" of the building. It's also a nice distance - most antiquity photos are so wide as to take in a big scene, or extremely close as to catch a specific intricate detail. This is right between, and gives scale and a sense of mood. Which goes well with the mood of colors and time of day. I'd like to see all these places at night now.

Beautiful details and colors. I like the angle very much. No more points today

wow, superb detail and sharpness. Perhaps there's nothing strikingly unique in this shot except it's really beautiful. It would make a nice framed shot on your wall. pts. depleted for the day...

This is the photo of your portfolio I liked the most, Bert. Impressive details, and, BTW, how could you catch such a variety of tones? Really a masterpiece.
