While walking around the floor of the Colosseo, we were lucky enough to see the sunrising through the windows... btw... if you had this POV about 1900 years ago your life depended on a flick of the thumb...

Hola Enrique.

La verdad es que no he estado en Roma y es una de mis siguientes paradas programadas.

De la foto me gusta el B&W que le da un toque muy poco habitual.

Un saludo, Oscar

Interesting balance between shadows and lights here. The repetition of all these arches is fantastic.Perfect cadrage in B&W....
All the best
Isabela

eNRIQUE!
excellent! well done

well done
giannis

Great and beautiful lights, beautiful joke, compliments, good choice of the B&W, the image is more dramatic, well done.
Ciao
Vinicio

Saludos
Picardo

Hi Enrique,
Great light and contrast on this picture !! Really a great shot !!
Congratulations !
Christophe

Hola Enrique,
Buen trabajo.
Un cordial saludo, amigo,
Josep

Very good exposure control, taking the ray of lights and also details across the dynamic range...Really nice and lots of details...I remember being there, the size and the texture of the archades and the feeling of history...
Very good!
Chen
PS - B&W in place!!

Ghostly stuff Enrtique. Your command of light here is, well, fantastic. The way the light highlites parts of the colloseum, while others lie in shadows, creates a fantastic sort of tonality here.

wow,
beautiful game of colours! Good details, composition and POV!
You have chosen a good perspective to shoot this impressive historical monument!
Thanks Ana:)

mate! that's awesome ... i've always loved shots that capture sunlight. the black and white is really nice with the repetition and i think the contrast works well.

you're right, that our view of it now is vastly different to the hedonistic rituals that used to be carried out here. if you stood in the middle, it was probably bad news! :)

awesome shot.

Hi Enrique,
You play very well with the light on this image.
Good Composition too.
And you did weel by choosing the B&W for this one.
I only think that maybe I prefer the image with a little bit more contrast.
Regards
Have a nice weekend.
Teresa

Hola Enrique.
Es cierto que la foto podría tener más definición, pero prefiero que no sea así. Eso y la luz crean una atmósfera única.
El blanco y negro es desde luego la mejor opción posible.

Gracias por la foto.

this is the most interesting coloseum shot I have seen. very original and unique vantage point. Impressive light rays and great tonal range with the b&w.

your not while funny, really does make you think.
thanks

I've got to tell you, Enrique...I'm nuts about Rome, and I must admit - this is one of the coolest blackandwhithes I've seen about Rome.
Amazing game of lights and shadows.
I guess quite difficult task to conquer.
George

Hola Enrique, me gusta mucho tu photo!
Its obvious that even being in ruins it is one of the most astonishing buildings in the world.
Your POV is great, I like it in B&W and the contrast is just fine
Um abraço, Sérgio

Hi Enrique - full thumbs up for your spectacular shot of this famous site, excellent B&W emphasizing light and the shapes of the arches. Very remarkable capture!!! TFS, Daniel

Excellent photo Enrique. The capture of the sunlight really adds to the image, then applying you amusing note to it lends that bit of drama to it.
Great shot.

Jim.

Enrique
I have taken a roll or two of film of this marvellous building. But your shot you have capture a shot out of the ordinary and with such atmosphere.
Regards Colin

Hi Enrique, the high contrast approach leads to an almost graphic representation of the Colliseum. Strong composition too to catch the rays of sunlight on the intersection of thirds. And the grain gives an added grittiness and bite to the contrast. Well seen and well executed (no pun intended :-) ). Stephen
