| This cathedral in Florence Italy has many interesting characteristics. One of the most fascinating is the fact that it's dome was built entirely without scaffolding. Each worker was promised a paid funeral should they happen to have fallen during construction. The detail that these fearless artisans were able to produce is absolutely incredible. |

I'm amazed by the lack of points here I must say... This is a gorgeous photo! Very unusual composition to show a familiar subject, nice crop, play of intersecting planes, and the light is perfect! This deserves more!
