Continuing the series on the quieter parts of Venice. This was the only gondola I ever thought I wanted to hire, but no idea how to find out where from. This was somewhere in the quieter parts of town west the Grand Canal. There was hardly any traffic on the canals in this area, and then one solitary gondola came along. Certainly not on any fixed ciruit. Probably a private one. The littleNikon doing its stuff again.
Just noticed, that apart from the one posted my daughter when she borrowed it, mine are the only postings on TE of this great little compact.

i like your journey through the back street venice (if this is the righ word, richard - "street" :-))
particularly that the "street" is closed for the traffic;
the place looks like a nice, quiet corner;
best wishes, j.

Every corner is very beatiful at Venice. Good composition with gondola and tower. TFS.

Très beau cliché sur Venise. Les bâtiments ont une jolie couleur ocre.
Beau travail. Merci pour le partage;

Nice view. The gondola could have been placed a bit nearer in the foreground but it is a minor detail. I suggest to crop out the first building and a large part of sky above the campanile.

Good composition. The best way to see the real Venice is away from the tourist areas.

This is a nice little series that you are running Richard, I really like the pastle colours as I said earlier more like a watercolour painting. I hope you realize that you are blowing my chances of a series of venice next month. :)

Nice again to see the "Back Streets" of Venice and this is a niceley composed shot.It is possibly a touch grainy although that does help bring out the texture of the stucco on the buildings.

An attractive view of this pleasant Venetian canal, with excellent sharpness color & pov, especially considering the age of almost 10 years. The gondolier adds scale & context. Good work & tfs.

lovely venice view again. I like your empty Venice very much. Seems like you went and searched out places not visited by the masses.

The camera does indeed seem to be a beauty - another fine scan - I like the colours (again) - they realy are something special :)
