Another view the less popular side of Venice, not even a canal in sight, but I like the way the builings look here.

i am always fascinated with the backstreets and bazaars, those places discover the real face of the towns;
this image of the backstreet venice is gorgeous, carefully composed to pack in the frame the most representative architecture of the place;
have a nice weekend,

I like it too. The colors are really vivid and its a good scan too. I like this compo with this one solitary man, this is soemthing rare in Venice which is overrun with tourists.

Interesting "Venice-without-a-canal" photo, Richard. A quite simple photo, but with a well-chosen angle along the old building façades, and with a good inclusion of the walking man. Nice colors and good lighting.

Hi Richard in that beautiful image the colours and the contrast between blue and red are fantastic.

Very interesting to see what the travel agencies will never show.. ;-)
It reminds me how surprised I was when travelling to Cairo, and realizing that the famous pyramids were located only at a few meters from the city. Since then I had always seen images showing the pyramids in the desert, shot from the right side...
So, well, Venice also has common streets !
Thank you for sharing this informative image Richard.

The lone figure adds to the shot, I really like the colours you are getting from the scans, they remind me of 1950/60's book illustrations - very nice indeed :)
